A representative of Lorens is shown in the photo above. We use no molds for our figures. Each face is handsculpted, one at a time, which means each face is slightly different and will not look exactly like the face in the photo. This is what makes each handmade doll unique.

Lorens is a bit of an amateur treasure hunter. He follows the clues in old maps and books, and has found many hidden stashes of ancient and forgotten jewels and gold, under tree roots and deep in mountain caves.
Lorens is 14" tall (12" when seated), as measured from the top of his head (not the top of his hat) to the bottom of his boots. His tunic is cotton velveteen. His sleeves are yarn dyed cotton, his legs cotton velveteen and his hat is organic cotton fleece, topped with an organic cotton yarn tassel. His boots are ultrasuede, as is his belt, from which hangs a brass acorn.
While he's searching, Lorens carries a treasure sack, made of a lush fabric of organic cotton and bamboo viscose. It is embellished with a glass bead, organic cotton yarns and cotton braid. (It's fun to note that this delicate hand-dyed braid is made in South Carolina with an antique braiding machine and 13 strands of organic cotton yarn). It is filled with Maine balsam.
Loren's face is bamboo felt. His beard is handmade from natural flax fiber. His blue eyes are hand blown/painted German glass. He is stuffed with a combination of recycled glass pellets and organic cotton stuffing. His arms are wired and his head turns.
All of our figures are 100% vegan. Lorens comes with a solid cedar seat (shown below), and a Legend of the Nisse story tag.
