"Double, double, toil and trouble,
Fire
burn, and caldron bubble"
William Shakepeare's quote from "Macbeth" often springs to mind at
the mention of the word "witch", but literature and folklore
are filled with many other witch characters. These run the gamut
from the evil to the comical.
The witches on these pages, hopefully,
fall somewhere in between. They are intended to represent a type of witch that mighy
make up the citizenry of an imagined land, Ringebukingdom, where they are known as good,
albeit somewhat peculiar, neighbors. They live mainly in tidy little cottages, where they keep very busy.
They may pull a few little tricks and cut a few corners from time to time, but they are never evil. |

The small witch dolls average 15 inches tall, measured from the heels of their boots to the top of their hats. They are handmade, vegan dolls.
They have hand sculpted, bamboo felt over clay faces and hand painted German glass eyes.
Their hair varies from witch to witch, from a variety of cotton yarns to hand-dyed belgium flax.
Their eye brows are embroidered.
Their bodies are stuffed with glass pellets and cotton batting,
their heads are stuffed with kapok, and their jointed, cloth legs stuffed with
glass pellets. In order to show them in greater detail, they are sometimes
shown standing in photos, however they do not stand on their own. Each witch comes with a doll stand.
These ladies have outfits made from a variety of high quality vegan fabrics, such as woven cotton, linen,
organic color-grown cotton, hemp, cotton velveteen and recycled knits to name a few.
Thier bamboo felt hands have wired fingers and their boots and hats are made of eco-friendly ultrasuede, which is fabricated from
recycled materials.
Because they have handsculpted faces, and we use no molds, each doll is very unique
and the photos show the exact witch dolls available.
Each doll is signed by her "witch maker".
