to The Folklore Doll Company
Inspired by tales, drawings and paintings of the past, all of our vegan dolls are designed and handmade here, in our workshops in Maine.
Our small company was started many years ago, in 1992, with the creation of a tiny Norwegian elf doll (called a "Nisse"). Since then we've designed and created other folklore dolls - elf dolls, witch dolls, troll dolls and more - to add to our "cast of characters" and onto our dollshop shelves.
We strive hard to put the workmanship and quality that was typical of "Once Upon a Time" into every handmade doll that leaves our workshop. Whether you're a fan of folklore, fairy tales or dolls, we hope that you'll enjoy the next few pages.
